İşte hayatımdaki değerli insanlardan biri..Yeşimciğim..Bir ara herşeyi beraber yapardık, tüm seyahatlere de beraber çıkardık. Mimiklerimiz o kadar benzemeye başlamıştı ki..İkiz misiniz diye bile sordular..Annelerimiz kuzen olsa da, biz birbirimizi kardeş ilan ettik..Ocak'ta evlendi..Artık o kadar sık görüşemiyoruz..

One of the precious people in my life.Dear Yeşim. There has been a time, where we did everything together and have a lot travelled together. Our mimic became so similar, that we once were asked whether we are  a tween.Although our mothers are cousin, we have decided to be sisters. She married in January. We can't see eachother that often anymore.

You are a blessing to me, sister..

Bu da Nedret Özakyol. Bu gezegenin en renkli simalarından olsa gerek. Bir ara Hindistan'daydı.Sonra Atina'da..Şimdilerde ise İsveç'te yaşıyor. Geçen sene Atina'da bir kızılderi seremonisi ile evlendi, biz de Yeşim'le katıldık..Eski dostlar Bugün Zencefil'de sohbet ettik.

This is Nedret Özakyol. She must be one of the most colourful people of the world. For a while she was in India. Afterwards in Athens. Nowadays she lives in Sweden. Last year she married with a Native American wedding ceremony, me and Yeşim participated. Old friends we had a nice chat at Zencefil.

Yeşim Kanada'da evlendi. Nedret ise Atina'da. İkisi de yabancı diyarları denedi..Biri halen İsveç'te..

Ben de kaldım uzun yıllar yurtdışında..Anladım ki oraları gezmeyi severim de, yaşamak başka birşey..Şimdi gözüne batan herşeyin, gözünde tüteceğini bilemiyor insan, vatandan uzak kalınca..İlk üç ay güzel geçiyor da..Sonra sonra zorlanıyor insan..Ben kebap sevmem, kadayıf sevmem, baklava aramam buradayken.. Ama oralarda o tatlar için neleri vermezdim..Küfürden hoşlanmam, trafikten şikayet ederim, onları bile özleyeceğimi bilmezdim yaşamadan..Onca yaşanılmışlık bir kenara atılamıyor..Fark etmeden her yerde bir iz bırakıyor insan, o izlerin bir duygu tonu oluyor. O sokakta ayağım kaymıştı, bu kafede çok gülmüştüm, şu restoranda sarhoştum..Ne güzel bunlarla mekanları anımsamak..Her mekanın zaman çizelgesinde bir derinliğinin olması..Bir duygusunun olması..Bir sorunun olduğunda kimi arayacağını, nasıl konuşacağını bilebilmek ne güzel..

Sıla hasreti çekenlerin Tanrı yardımcısı olsun..

Yeşim married in Kanada. Nedret in Athens. Both tried to live abroad. One is still in Sweden.I also lived for long years abroad and understood that I like to travel a lot, but living somewhere is different. One doesn't know before trying that you miss even whatever you didn't like in your country. The first three months are ok..But than it becomes a challenge..I don't like kebap, Ottoman desserts and am not fond of Baklava when I am here. But when I was abroad I would give my everything just to taste them again..I don't like swearing, I complain about traffic..But I didn't know that I would even start to miss these things before living away.All experiences can not just be taken away. Without noticing one leaves marks everywhere. And these marks have an emotional tone. In that street I felt down, in this cafe I laughed a lot, in this restaurant I was drunk...So nice to remember the places with all these memories and that every place has a depth in the time table..Has an emotion attached to it..So nice to know whom to call, how to speak when you have a problem..
