The Pantakrator Church, which was built in the 2nd century

Bu kilisenin eski manastırı, 15yy de yanına yapılan Molla Zeyrek Camiinin medresesi olarak kullanılmış.Günümüzde ise Rahmi Koç ve Azize Taylan'ın bizzat dekore ettiği şirin bir restoran olarak kullanılıyor.

The old monastry of the church has been used as the koranschool of the 15th century Molla Zeyrek Mosque, which has been built next to it. Nowadays it is used as a cute restaurant, which has been decorated by  Rahmi Koç and Azize Taylan themselves.

Gurubumuz bir öğlen yemeğini de her bir köşesi orijinal nesnelerle süslü bu mekanda aldı. Zeyrek: deha, anlayışlı, uyanık anlamına geliyor. Fatih Sultan Mehmet döneminde açılan medrese müderrislerinden Molla Zeyrek nedeniyle,Zeyrekhane ismini almıştır.

Our group had one of their lunches in this room, which is decorated with original items. Zeyrek means: understanding, genius, awake. The koranschool, which was opened during the reign of Sultan Mehmet de Conqueror had a teacher with the name of Molla Zeyrek. It was named after him: Zeyrekhane.

Bu bahçenin bir taraftan Haliç'e , diğer taraftan Süleymaniye'ye bakan geniş ve güzel bir manzarası var.

This garden has a wonderful and broad scenery facing the Golden Horn on one side and the Süleymaniye Mosque on the other side.

Zamanla anlar değerini insan eskinin,

Eşyaların değerini parayla ölçmemeye başladığında..

Her bir antik parçanın,

 Derinlik, yaşanmışlık, özgünlük vardır ağırlığında

Bir dönemi canlı kılar, başka nesillere aktarır..

Her ne kadar bağımsız ve modern gözükse de bugün,

İrdelendiğinde geçmişi bugüne getiren ipuçlarını da içinde barındırır.

In  time one starts to understand the value of the old,

When one doesn't value the objects according to their prices..

Each and every antique piece,

Has a depth, a memory of former life, uniqueness in his weight..

It keeps a certain era alive and forwards it to the next generations..

Although today seems to be indepent and modern,

When you investigate it, it contains the hints that connects the past to present..
