Souq Waqif Doha Qatar

İş nedeniyle gittiğim Doha'da kendimi bu kadar iyi hissedeceğimi ve orayı seveceğimi tahmin etmemiştim. Kardeşim Batuhan, Suudi Arabistan elçisi ile canlı müzik dinliyoruz ve Arap kahvesi içiyoruz. Arap kahvesi çok hafif, içinde kakule ve safran var.. Ben oldukça seviyorum..

I went to Doha due to business, I never thought that I would feel very good and love this place. 

We are listening to live music with my brother Batuhan and the ambassador from Saudi Arabia. We are drinking Arabic coffee, which I like pretty much.. It is very light and contains cardamom and saffran. 

Beyler için yerel elbise beyaz, başlarına ise ya beyaz, ya da kırmızı beyaz kullanıyorlar. Çok zarif duruyor. The local dress for men is white, they use white or a mix of white and red for their heads.

It looks very elegant.

Souq Waqif, Katar Doha için önemli bir çarşı. Kelime anlamı: ayakta durulan çarşı..Bu alışveriş merkezi geleneksel el işçiliği ürünleri, baharatlar, hatıra eşyaları satan bir yer haline getirilip yeniden canlandırıldı. Aynı zamanda çeşitli mutfaklara ait düzinlerce restorana sahip. Shisha (nargile) kahveleri de burada bulunuyor. En az yüzyıllık olan bu çarşı, çok yeni restore edilerek eski ihtişamına kavuştu.

Doha'nın en önemli tursitik merkezlerinden biri haline geldi.

Son zamanlarda Souq Wakif, sanat galerileri, etkinlikler  ve atölye çalışmaları için de önemli bir merkeze dönüştü. Tatil dönemlerinde yerli konserlere de sahne olmakta.. (kaynak: Wikipedia)

Souq Waqif (Arabic: سوق واقف) is an important souq in Doha, in the state of Qatar. Literally translated to "the standing market," this shopping destination is renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to dozens of restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world, as well as Shisha lounges. Although this market dates back at least a hundred years, it has been recently restored back to its original glory. It is now considered one of the top tourist destinations within Doha.
